There are many different electronic means to reach out to our brethren in this day and age. I have set up a few different ones in order to try and find one that might work well. This means reaching as many members as possible. We have a Facebook group, though I am not impressed with Facebook's way of handling groups. It could very well be that I am doing something wrong, but it doesn't appear that they support a "picture album" similar to an individual's profile. We do have a website that has a calendar that is kept current. There is also a Google group, but that isn't getting much use. Only about six members have joined.
This blog seems as though it will be easier to add current messages and perhaps some limited pictures. It will offer mostly one-way communication. Perhaps in time, other members and officers of the lodge will post here. This is not intended to replace the newsletter, but may be a good supplement to it. The last three years of newsletters can be found at the lodge website.
